2027 Founders' Legacy Early- and Mid-Career Seed Grants
The NNVAWI Founders' Legacy Seed Grants support early- and mid-career researchers and doctoral students whose work aims to reduce violence against women and marginalized communities, or to lessen its health and social harms.
Application deadline: January 15, 2027
Awards:
Early- and mid-career researcher: one award of up to US$7,000
Doctoral student researcher: one award of up to US$1,500
Recipients also receive complimentary registration for the 27th NNVAWI Conference, April 28–30, 2027, in Cape Town, South Africa (travel not covered)
Who can apply:
NNVAWI student and full members who are:
Enrolled in a doctoral program such as a PhD or DNP (student award), or
Within 10 years of completing their terminal degree (early- and mid-career award)
NNVAWI Board members and office holders may not apply as principal investigator.

September 30, 2026: Applications open
January 15, 2027: Applications close
March 2027: Recipients notified
April 28–30, 2027: Recipients announced at the 27th NNVAWI Conference
