Our Board Roles 

President

The President is entrusted to serve as official spokesperson and leader in fulfilling the mission of the organization. The President shall preside at all meetings, including the Annual General Meeting, and be responsible for all regulations relating to the administration of the organization. The President shall serve as chairperson of the Board of Directors and delegate Chairs and other members-at-large/student members of the Board of Directors to all Standing Committees that have not been specified by the bylaws. The President serves as coordinator of all ongoing and Ad Hoc committees. The President is also responsible for developing and maintaining professional linkages between NNVAWI and other professional organizations. The President shall serve as a liaison to the conference planning committee. The President oversees the preparation of an Annual Report to be shared with the membership.

Vice-President

The Vice-President shall carry out such functions as are delegated and, in the absence of the President, to act on their behalf. The Vice-President shall assist the President in monitoring all ongoing and Ad Hoc committees and will serve as a liaison to the conference planning committee. The Vice President also assists with developing and maintaining professional linkages between NNVAWI and other professional organizations. The Vice-President also serves as the Executive Sponsor, Communications Standing Committee.

Secretary

The Secretary is responsible for the recording and maintenance of all the records and documentation, including archives, for the organization. The Secretary serves as the Executive Sponsor, Awards and Nominations Standing Committee. 

Treasurer

The Treasurer shall be responsible for all fiscal matters and the accounting thereof, as well as disburse funds in accordance with the procedures established by the Board of Directors. The Treasurer shall serve as the Chair, Finance and Fundraising Standing Committee. The Treasurer shall develop an annual budget for approval by the Board of Directors. The accounting system maintained by the Treasurer shall be audited annually as prescribed by the Board of Directors. For the purposes of filing taxes and banking signatory authority, the Treasurer is required to be a citizen of the country where the organization is incorporated. The Treasurer shall serve as a liaison to the conference planning committee.
