22nd Nursing Network on Violence Against Women International Conference 2018

On behalf of the NNVAWI Board of Directors and the Conference Co-Chairs, Dr. Marilyn Ford-Gilboe and Dr. Victoria Smye, we are thrilled to announce that the next NNVAWI conference will be held at the Pillar & Post Hotel in the picturesque village of Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada.

Preconference:  September 26, 2018Pillar & Post Hotel

Conference: September 27 & 28, 2018

Niagara-on-the-Lake is easily accessible from two international airports: Toronto Pearson International Airport (Toronto, Canada) or Buffalo Niagara International Airport (Buffalo, New York, USA).

During your visit, you will have opportunities to stroll through this historic village to admire the beauty of the 19th century architecture, enjoy a play at the Shaw Festival, or take a quick trip down the road to take in the wonder and power of Niagara Falls!

Fall is one of the most beautiful times to visit Ontario! The leaves will be turning colour, the weather is perfect - and you will arrive in time for the harvest at the many vineyards located in the Niagara region.

The conference program will include innovative pre-conference workshops, opportunities for professional networking, incredible social events, a NNVAWI student breakfast, compelling keynote speakers and multiple platforms for NNVAWI members and colleagues to share their VAW research policy, practice and education work.

There will also be plenty of opportunities for NNVAWI members to be involved in the planning of this exceptional meeting. Stay tuned for more information about how you can help with activities such as reviewing abstracts, contributing to the planning of the conference program, and inviting your colleagues from across the globe to join us in Niagara-on-the-Lake, September 26-28, 2018.
