Accepting Nominations for All Board Positions
NNVAWI Board Elections
At the NNVAWI Business Meeting an election for all Board positions will be held. The Business Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday June 18, 2013, 7:00-8:30 AM. A continental breakfast will be served in the Versailles Room, Sutton Place Hotel.
We are currently seeking nominations for all Board positions. Please email Helene Berman (firstname.lastname@example.org)if you are interested in standing for election for any of the following positions: President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary, Member-at-Large. Nominations for all positions will also be taken from the floor.

Boat Cruise Details
What: A Vancouver Boat Cruise to Remember: $100 per person, taxes included.
When: Monday June 17th from 6:00-9:30pm (boarding at 6pm, sailing at 6:30pm)
Where: This cruise follows a near solstice sunset along Vancouver's glimmering shoreline capturing sprawling cityscapes and sparkling water views. Cruise out of the Coal Harbour Marina on the luxurious Sunset Bay II Yacht, past the spectacular cityscape, Convention Centre, and famous Pan Pacific Sails. Enjoy the variety of delicious west coast inspired canapés and tasting platters created using fresh ocean wise ingredients by a local award winning onboard chef, as we cross over the Georgia Straight to North Vancouver, cruise past the scenic shoreline, under the Lions Gate Bridge and past Stanley Park’s spectacular forests. The yacht then makes its way past the Jericho/Kitsilano beaches and into the Granville Island waterway, then turns around at Science World for the journey back to Coal Harbour. Our objective is to disseminate current information about NNVAWI activities and the clinical, research and educational accomplishments of our members. In our revised monthly newsletter, we will introduce you to NNVAWI Board Members as well as spotlight the work of different members. A section of each newsletter will be committed to highlighting the work of student members. Information about international initiatives, upcoming violence-related conferences and other activities will also be disseminated.

Check out the updated NNVAWI website http://www.nnvawi.org. The Board is actively working to ensure that the website is revised to meet member needs. You can now pay your annual NNVAWI membership fee on the website. Regular 2013 membership (expires December 31, 2013) is $100, a one-year special/student membership is only $25. All existing members are reminded to logon and renew their membership as soon as possible. Please also share information about NNVAWI with your colleagues and networks, encouraging them to join.
